All judges are encouraged to reserve this date for a lively day of discussion, debate, and deliberation. We’ve had to adapt since the inclusion of COVID in our lives and this year our judging day will occur virtually. Throughout the course of meting, judges narrow the Round 3 Short List to the near-final contenders. Midway, there is a short break to stretch your legs. Finally, judges hold the final discussion and select the stories to be published in the Contest booklet, and honoured at the conclusion of the Authors’ Day (if possible, details to come!). Teacher judges who have participated in the past have called it the best PD they’ve ever experienced, but everyone who participates considers Judging Day to be a highlight of the contest.
